What this extension does

Captain Pin Board lets you save short text messages into collections you create (for example Marketing or Scripts) so you can find them again later. You can save text from the popup, from the full board page, or by right clicking selected text on any webpage.

What data is collected

None. Captain Pin Board does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, browsing history, or page content. The extension does not contact any server operated by us or by any third party.

What is stored, and where

The messages and collections you create are stored only on your own device, using Chrome's built in storage for extensions (chrome.storage.local). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or to anyone else. Uninstalling the extension removes this data.

Why each permission is needed

• storage: saves your collections and pinned messages locally on your device.
• contextMenus: adds the right click option that lets you pin selected text directly to a collection.
• activeTab and scripting: used only when you open the popup, to read the text you have highlighted on the current page so it can be pre filled into the pin box. No other page content is read, and nothing is read unless you open the popup yourself.

Third parties

Captain Pin Board does not use analytics, advertising, or any third party services.
